I want to start this entry with a rather informal but sincere apology for all the people I have hurt in my life. I love you all and I am sorry. Humiliating and detriment to my reputation as it is I admit I was and still am an alcoholic. This is the first step. Under such poor influence and emotional openness I often spent time in the city doing my photography. Because of my instability and rather "Dionysian" disposition I seemed to be scouring the city looking for something I couldn't see, yet I could feel it. I was looking for more than a photo. My camera a talisman. Of course I only realize this after much retrospection. Back then I was completely unconscious to why I was so compelled to wander. Yet no force could stop me. Maybe for the first time in my life I found a method of looking beyond myself. Past the trivial myriad of conscious clocking in and out and onto a less treaded track. Perilous! I keep having repeating dreams about photography: cameras and photographs. How can I take pictures while I am in this hell of no gradations? Shutter-less, I shudder. Clearly there is a city inside me much more terrible to transit than an outer. This metro-mind area of mine is a veritable fresh hell it's beautiful and I desire even to be it's urban thrall. An ancient capital rules behind me I the wallflower, and it the cornerstone. So how may I find my medium here? In that land I feel so estranged. My eyes are turned back and I want to photograph what I see. How do I expose the altar of the city center? Street photography was fun and easy for me, I just took a train and wandered downtown. I looked into alleys and put my face in the sidewalk steam. For the first time I paid attention to others, but there are no interesting others now, so I must find the line inside, a truly underground ride: the sub-way to my own metro mystery. So I dream deeper and remember clearer, but how do you

It goes without saying that the community is one of my most important motivators on DA. People in it are supportive, sweet and always ready for a chat, to help or to just be there, something I very recently saw happen all at once when I shared some personal things! The Tutorials
A lot of people work tirelessly to share their knowledge through tutorials. I think those people are absolute angels, because they

Soon you may choose which shot wins the accolades in the Monthly Street Challenge - August '18
So we are another week older and it's time for this week's selection of shots from The-Yard-Collective (https://www.deviantart.com/the-yard-collective).
This week it's all about the details. Details which make or break a street shot. It is always so wonderful when you get this "Oh, that changes everything moment" in a street shot with a smile on your face.
