Please respect me and my work. My photos and words are not for stealing. Please send me a note if you want to use my work. And after using, link back to the original. Thank you for understanding.

"blue" by Batsceba is a photograph that brings us through the color spectrum and out through a window of reality. Color street photography is hard, generally from what I've seen you either need a color connection , contrast, or tone theme. On the other side here Batsceba uses the primary colors blue, red, and yellow to give us a balance of everything in her composition. Not only are the primary colors present, but there sub primes green, violet and even an orange. We have an entire spectrum present in a beautifully framed reflection. I love how she captures the feeling of continuing to work, even when relaxing at a restaurant or coffee shop (assumingly). We get a well framed composition with depth, the walls being a foreground frame, followed by the reflection of the women, and a background of modern cars and windows of the city. So many elements working together here to bring us .. on the other side.

'On The Other Side' by Bats and Jess n.9

Hello and Welcome to another issue of 'On the Other Side' a collaboration between Bats and I.

Batsceba and I came up with the idea to create a gallery folder within Progressive-Street that showcases some of our personal favorites that are street photos a little off-kilter from the usual. As you can see in our header image we give a brief wording of what we look for in these images we choose to add. Of the images we choose, we wanted to share our thoughts of why and how they stand out, why they are a little unique to the more traditional street captures.
Bats and I will be taking turns issuing journals for Progressive-Street choosing a number of deviations from the "On the other side" Gallery to write about.  Now keep in mind I am no great writer and my writings tend to be a bit random and off the top of my head. I simply type off the top of my head.
